ANNOUNCING THE 2ND ANNUAL "ZEITGEIST MEDIA FESTIVAL" GLOBAL AWARENESS EVENT, 2012!

Global Website: http://www.zeitgeistmediafestival.org/

Beginning the weekend of August 3rd 2012, The 2nd Annual Zeitgeist Media Festival Global will commence!

ABOUT: Recognizing the power of art and media to help change the world, the annual "Zeitgeist Media Festival"(ZMF) bridges the artistic & activist communities in the hope to inspire change. It recognizes that deeply needed, radical changes in the structural/economic workings of society can only manifest in tandem with a personal/social transformation of values in each of us.

Keeping the gesture of the long history of influential artistic creators whose vision have changed our world for the better, the ZMF works to unify the world through this expression with the basic ethos that we are One Species sharing One Planet and it is time the world learns to work together for the betterment of all before it is too late.

The Inaugural Event for the now annual Zeitgeist Media Festival occurred in 2011 with over 40 events occurring across 20 countries. While started by the non-profit, social sustainability activist organization The Zeitgeist Movement, the ZMF is open to any socially conscious group which also wishes to join in the expression for a more balanced, peaceful world through the medium of art.

MISSION STATEMENT: The Mission of The Zeitgeist Media Festival is to unify the world through annual awareness events that bridge the difference between all nations, races, classes, genders and creeds; to understand we all share the same basic needs; to understand we are truly One Family sharing One Habitat and that our world views and hence societal approaches should reflect this foundational Global Perspective. The ZMF works to help facilitate this unifying expression for all socially conscious organizations that wish to use the power of Art to effect change in the social "Zeitgeist" - advancing our value system to see how much positive possibility there is for real social change if we choose not to fear it.

About: The Zeitgeist Movement is a global sustainability activist group working to bring the world together for the common goal of species sustainability before it is too late. It is a social movement, not a political one, with over 1000 chapters across 70 countries. Divisive notions such as nations, governments, races, political parties, religions, creeds or class are non-operational distinctions in the view of The Movement. Rather, we recognize the world as one system and the human species as a singular unit, sharing a common habitat. Our overarching intent could be summarized as “the application of the scientific method for social concern.”

ANNOUNCING THE 4TH ANNUAL "ZEITGEIST DAY" GLOBAL AWARENESS EVENT, 2012

Beginning the weekend of March 9th 2012, The Zeitgeist Movement's 4th Annual Global Awareness Project, known as "Zeitgeist Day" ["ZDAY"], will commence.

With a mass of events currently occurring in over 35 countries, from Argentina to Venezuela, "ZDay 2012" is shaping up to be yet another powerful expression of human unity, hope and progress.

And while all events are important, one ZDay event is always highlighted each year which features prominent speakers on subjects relevant. This event is also webcast live so other ZDay gatherings have the option to stream the lectures for their local viewing.

This year that event is being hosted by TZM Vancouver, featuring talks by Federico Pistono, Douglas Mallette, Peter Joseph, James Phillips, Matt Berkowitz and others.

PETER JOSEPH AND THE ZEITGEIST MOVEMENT ISRAEL TO CONDUCT "ZFEST" WORLD PEACE AND SUSTAINABILITY EVENT

On February 6th 2012, The Zeitgeist Movement Israel will host a Global Awareness Event in Tel Aviv, Israel in the context of Human Sustainability and World Peace.

On the heels of what appears to be an accelerating intent for military intervention in Iran from the United States and it allies, along with the world's major powers rapidly increasing armament developments in the midst of growing social destabilization, resource depletion and economic breakdown, The Zeitgeist Movement, a worldwide sustainability advocacy group working without borders, will be conducting a conference on the increasingly important issue of global cooperation and the means to obtain peace and human prosperity for the long term.

A feature of the event will be a lecture conducted by Peter Joseph, founder of The Zeitgeist Movement, entitled "Defining Peace". This talk will examine the historical roots of war; its technical irrelevancy; the State's historical psychological coercion of mass appeal; the inherent exclusive benefits to the upper class and denigration of the lower class; the broad inefficiency of the State itself as a divisive business entity and hence its inherent conflict propensity; along with how the only way of achieving lasting human peace is through the dissolving of the Market System catalysts, the Ownership Class and the State entity itself.

This now sold out event will be streamed live online for free via Ustream: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/peter-joseph-live-on-z-fest-2012-tel-aviv-israel#events

THE ZEITGEIST MOVEMENT: RESPONSE TO "OCCUPY WALL STREET"

www.occupywallst.org

On Sept 17th 2011, a grassroots expression of contempt was launched in the heart of the world's financial center in lower Manhattan of New York City, also commonly known to the world as the institution of "Wall Street". As of Sept 26th, there have been over 80 arrests and many recorded instances of what appears to be violence and abuse coming from the police and security forces there. However, the protesters remain vigilant in what could very well be a landmark event that will resonate for some time to come.

The Zeitgeist Movement would like to extend its public support to this basic expression.

As the world awakens to a failing financial system with growing civil unrest emerging without the bias of sovereignty, religion or political loyalty, a new, unifying perspective is slowly taking hold which transcends the framework many of us falsely assume as empirical to our way of life.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The 2011 Zeitgeist Media Festival, Global:

The Inaugural 2011 Zeitgeist Media Festival Global Event set, which enabled a socially conscience Arts and Media platform across 20 countries, accessing about 10,000 people in person and almost 200,000 through free live Webcasts, was a notable success.

Organized by The Zeitgeist Movement , a global, non-profit sustainability advocacy group seeking to change the current social order, this unprecedented concept has generated a resonance that is expected to grow every year as it continues its development. The integrity of the project seems to rest not only with the social intent, but also with the 1000s of Volunteers who worked to make it happen without any financial gain and even severe losses.

In a post event interview with Peter Joseph, the curator/sponsor of the Main Event at Hollywood's "Music Box", he stated "Yeah, I lost about $35,000 dollars when I expected to lose only $10,000. But it was worth every cent for the dedication and commitment of those who helped execute such a large production was unmatched and just glorious. This is what Community is about and we are only just beginning with our efforts to unify the world."

Coupled with its Global Food Drive Initiative via The Zeitgeist Movement's ongoing "Z-Drive", over 12,000 meals were facilitated through regional Food Banks to feed the ever growing the poor and starving population.
