i'm patrick from tipp.

i got an email today from the ZM looking for translators but i'm afraid i can barely speak english so i can be of no help there. at the moment i find myself with lots of free time, the country being in the mess it's in, and would like to get actively involved in the movement if at all possible. i know the ZM is mostly in the building support stage but surely there is something i can do. if you can tell me where i can get the movies on disc so i can at lease try to spread the word to friends and family (i have no means of buying anything online) that would be a start.

i can't stress how important this movement is. america is on the brink of collapse and as they say, if america sneezes the rest of the world gets a cold, that may not be as true as it was in the eighties but ireland will certainly suffer if it goes.

Hello from one Pat to another and welcome to the only truly logical social movement I've ever known

You can get all the docs and lectures on demonoid or pirate bay(they are free to distribute so you won't be vioating any copyright ).

They are a good resource to keep on you as I have found when talking to people about the movement it's handy to be able to throw them a dvd or chuck the lot on their memory stick.

I know it can be a bit isolating not living in dublin where most movement activity takes place but this has proven an incentive to us northern culchies to organise get togethers ourselves in anticipation of our national meetings.

Hey guys . I'm a member of the ZM for more than a year now but this is my first time on the forum. I'm 24 and an IT student. Iv been pretty pissed off with the exploitation of people by their governments around the world since probably about when Loose Change was made. Now that that exploitation has been undeniably exposed in our own callamitous government and the complacency by so many people as to the consequences of their actions are going to have, I want to do whatever I can in any events the ZM might have here in ireland. Being from Tipperary it might be difficult to travel but if I can I will. I confess that I haven't seen "Moving forward yet" but I'll get on it. Also I'm obliged to let you know that I'm undecided on the venus project as of yet. I was on holiday when Jaques and Roxanne were in Dublin.

You must mean "Zeitgeist Addendum".. "Moving forward" isnt actually out yet its coming out in january

Cheers Deanjdk. Yea Iv seen the first and addendum I didnt actually realise moving forward was out so late! I thought it was due for release sometime in 2010.

Ah well at least its something to look forward to.

About the venus project - I'm all for a resource based economy in an ideal world, its just some of the content Jaques Fresco talks about is a bit surreal. i.e. no laws = utter anarchy. But I'm gonna check it out more before I make up my mind about that particular aspect of the ZM.

Aside from that the rest of the content in the first two films is pretty flawless stuff.

I like you approach Ben .You are absolutly right to be skeptical.There is a methodolgy to the conclusions Jacques Fresco makes.At first it may seem improbable until you realise just how intricate the idea of a resource based economy is.It requires alot of question asking and explanation to understand.For me the video watch list was essential since some of the peter joseph lecture really go into detail and take away the vagueness of Addendum.

This movement is basically the advocation of the scientific method towards social concern...in other words..The methodology of demonstration is applied towards solving problems instead of peoples opinion.

Just one other thing ..the first movie is not in any way linked to the movement and has no part to play with what is being advocated here.
